The Final Weigh-in!!!!!!!!!

Alright folks, this is it. The moment we have all been waiting for!! After last weigh-in, Heather and I decided NOT to post the "Top 3" for week 7. We instead wanted to keep it all a mystery and see you all fight it out to the death, muahahahahahahahahahahahaha................ahem.

I was GOING to post some encouraging words pushing you all to finish out strong, but my computer decided it was it's time to go to computer heaven and I just got a new one yesterday. 

Anyways! Lets have at this, shall we? Please post your weigh-ins. The winner will be determined by the total body weight percentage loss during the entire challenge. Meaning we will take your starting weight (from week one) and calculate the percentage from your final weight (week 8), then we shall make you all wait until Tuesday to announce the winner(s)!!

Week 4 Weigh-in!

Checking up on you Get Fitters

Week three is coming to a close! Just a couple more days to push yourself and burn those calories! With the weekend coming up try to get outside and soak up the sun. As it starts to get warmer outside, it's the perfect time to go hiking or go for a swim! Pack the kids up and have a beach day or a picnic. Just remember to pack up the sunscreen and stay hydrated!

Another way I like to hydrate after a good workout is with one of my favorite after-workout protein smoothie. (Although you could skip the protein and simply enjoy the smoothie:)

Fitness Punch Smoothie:
- 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries 
- 1/2 a fresh banana (the riper the better)
- 8 oz apple juice
- 1 scoop of vanilla or strawberry protein power
- Ice

Put all ingredients into a blender. Blend until mixed.

How's it going?

Just wanting to check in, week 2 is almost over. Just a couple days left to get in some fitness before weigh-in day!

What are you finding to be the hardest things to overcome?

What are some of your obstacles? 

How are you pushing through them?

Heather and I have come across our fair share of tough moments. Some much harder to overcome than others. Neither one of us is close to perfect and we make our fitness mistakes. Skipping workouts, eating fast foods, and we always feel like crap afterward, right? But it's ok, it really is. Everyday day we have, is a new day to make new decisions, better decisions. 

No matter what happened yesterday, we can always make things right today. Take one day at a time, focusing on making small changes everyday that add up over time. 

Heather and I have been making small goals to meet everyday. Last week we had one goal to meet, this week was 2 goals. Next week will be 3 goals. Three small goals we have to meet every single day. One small change at a time. Makes things feel less overwhelming.

We hope your week has been great and we look forward to seeing how everyone stacks up! Right now we have 12 paid players in this game. And there's still time for more to join up so encourage your blog followers and friends to join up!

Get Fit: Coast 2 Coast Challenge

Welcome to the Get Fit Challenge! Open to anyone of any size and fitness level. This weight loss challenge is designed to motivate you and push you all the way until the end. How, you ask? Well, part of it will be the usual blogging, posting words of encouragement and motivation to push you to meet your goals. But also, because there's money and other goodies involved! And who doesn't like money and goodies? 

Here's how this weight loss challenge will work. If you would like to participate, you buy in with $10 through a PayPal account on this blog. (The PayPal account is not up yet, but will be set up soon). Once you pay your "fee", you're in it to win it. The more people who participate, the more money we'll have to give to the top winner of this Challenge. The money will sit in the PayPal account, then transferred via PayPal to the top winner. The runner up will also receive a workout pack, full of goodies. 

How do you become a winner? Easy, you just have to be one of the top 2 who lose the highest percentage of body weight. This is not a pounds challenge, although you will be losing pounds. Each week we'll post the top 3 "biggest losers" and we'll do our best to keep pushing you forward. 

This challenge is 8 weeks and will officially start Monday, April 9th and end on Monday, June 4th. The 2 winners will be announced Tuesday, June 5th. Just in time for summer! Lets get started on our beach bodies!!
